A WARM GOODBYE TO 2020

Hello you guys, I wish you a very Happy New Year!!❤❤

First things first, I would love to thank all of you for showing me your love and support to my work. I am really overwhelmed. Special thanks to my sister (Swati Aggarwal Rawat) for motivating me to start writing blogs on the first place or else it wouldn't have been possible. 

So this is my first blog of 2021 and I wanted to talk about OUR JOURNEY. Seriously what an year it was! Hats off to each one of you to have survived such a toilsome year. You are a true hero, for it is YOU who was put through so much yet you never chose to give up. So my great salute to you guys!! 

Now I want you to go back to a memory of January 1st, 2020 and take a small recap of what all you have gone through this year. I know just like me, you all must be excited to spend an exciting 2020, you might have made plans but we all know how it turned out. Nevertheless, just stop for a moment, take deep breath and think "how was the first day of 2020 different from 2021?"

2020 was indeed a lesson not just for you or me but for EVERYONE. Well to name a few changes between the two would be the change of our lifestyles, changes that we have gone through as a being, we value the people around more than ever, we have realized that no matter how modern we become one shouldn't forget her/his values. 

 Here's a small poem that I wrote the other day:-

"2020 tu itna bura bhi nahi jitna logo ne bataya hai,

Mere kirdaar ka mujhe ayina tune dikhaya hai.

Bahar jaane par thi pabandi,

Mere andar meine bohot waqt bitaya hai.

Shor aur tez raftaar se chalti zindagi mein,

Tham kar rukna tune hi toh skhaya hai.

Mujhe plan krne ki ek aadat si thi,

Bhul gyi thi mein ki duniya mein nahi upar-wala chalata hai.

2020 tu itna bura bhi nahi jitna logo ne bataya hai, 

Mere kirdaar ka mujhe ayina tune dikhaya hai

Duniya chahe tujhe taane maare,

Mujhe jeena tune sikhaya hai.

Jab gawaya meine kuch apno ko,

Apne aapko naya sa paya hai.

Tu itna bura bhi nahi jitna logo ne bataya hai,

Mere kirdaar ka jaise ayina tune dikhaya hai."

2020 was indeed very ugly. But I guess that we were upto no good and that 2020 made us realize too much about life. Trapped in the quagmire of city life and engrossed with all the work load somewhere we ignored our mental peace, we ignored our happiness in a way. Life is very unpredictable, but as long as we're with the right people you are able to handle anything in life. 

Being locked up for like ten months now I have realized way so much, not just things about me but also true facts of life. where people who didn't bother about anything and left there were a few who chose to stay. Most essentially it made certain things very clear that no matter what your family will always stand next to you when the world is too harsh to talk about. I was someone who never really bothered to give time to my family, I thought of planning a day-out with friends rather than staying at home. But now, I literary don't wanna step out! I perceived how much I was missing out. Spending time with family, laughing out loud with my mom, having deep conversations with my dad meant so much to me. Also the fact that it is not necessary that you'll get back the love you expect from people to give you. And it is undoubtedly correct that,"Tough times are lessons in disguise, it always reveals the true color of people around."

Now that we have had our lessons learnt and mistakes acknowledged, I want you to become stronger than ever this year.

 Things that you would keep in mind in 2021 should be:

* Leave what isn't for you.

* Accept changes.

* Enjoy little things in life.

* Save space for people who matter.

*KNOW YOUR WORTH.

Moving on to 2021 I want you to expect less, find happiness in little moments, and enjoy everything with all your loved ones beside. With this new lifestyle that 2020 has given, you and I would try to make 2021 as memorable as possible. Make peace with things you have, cherish life a little more and find yourself lucky enough to be around ones who love you so much.
